I have walked through the desert world I once only dreamt of.
Sauntering in that photo with peace in my heart and heaven above.
I was in a moment of peace for days.
                             Sedately lost in my mind,
                                        This desert,
                                         The maze.

This is a place where I would happily submit and die.
When I entered this world of beauty and rock I could hear nature cry.
This is a sacred land living slowly.
On a ridge I sat naked,
                                         A sinner,
                                      Pure and holy.
I am a bit weary about submitting my poetry, but I am showing this one because it got selected for school art magazine of sorts (and incedently all of my photography got denied). It is basically a reflection my first solo backpacking trip, which was in the deserts of Utah.

I got a tipoff from a friend. :P
Very awesome poem - I love the imagery, and the feeling of the openness, and purity. Nice work.
